 Hey Warriors, badminton has officially come to an end

for the 2025-2026 season, this was a tough season and didn't go the way we were hoping for. Our players finished the season with their overall record being 0-14, landing us in 8th place this season. It wasn't the outcome we had hoped for but we’ll use this season as motivation to come back stronger next year. 

We want to give a big thanks to our seniors Lhean Madrigal, Kyler Acebedo, Kenny Ngo, Tommy Ho Dac, Kevin Phan, Vu Nguyen, Nam Duong, Ryan Luu, Chau Nguyen, Tara Kaneshiro. 

Thank you guys for leadership and motivation to this team. 

Lastly congratulations to  our MVPs this  season for the boys Kyler Acebedo, Kenny Ngo, Vu Nguyen and Nam Duong. Great job this season and thank you for all the hard work. 

More news will come for badminton next season. Well that will be it for badminton. Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season.

Hey Hey Warriors, today on April 30th at 6PM will be our badminton team Senior Night. Our players last game will be against Andrew Hill high school. Last time we faced them we lost 1-14, we are coming to get this win for our senior night. Come out to enjoy the show and support to our senior players for their last game.

Hey Warriors, this Wednesday April 29th at 6PM we will be taking on the Independence 76ers for the second time this season. Last time we faced them we fell short with the final score being 4-8. This time we’re looking to come out victorious. This game will be played at independence, so let's wish our warrior's good luck!

 Hey Warriors, our last game, which was a rematch against Leigh High, resulted in a loss, with the score being 3-12. Although our players lost, they played with grace and determination on the courts, making it a great show for the parents and students who showed up to support.

Hey hey warriors!

On  April 22, at 6 P.M our players had a rematch against Piedmont, the match ended in a loss with the overall  score being 0-15.  Although we lost, this match served  as preparation for the upcoming Senior Night will be  around the end of this April.

What's up warriors!

Our match against Silver Creek ended in a loss with the score of 2-13, although our players lost, they give their best performance and showed great sportsmanship. Our next match will be up against Piedmont, come out and show the players your support.

What's up warriors!

Yesterday, on April 15th, our badminton players had a rematch against Leland High, at the latter courts. The overall score was 1-14, although we lost, our players was able to put in work which will prepare them for their future matches. Come out and support them at their next match against Silver Creek.

Hey hey warriors!

Our last match against the Evergreen cougars ended in a loss, with the overall score being 1-14. Though it ended in a loss, it was a very intense match, with our players being able to push themselves to the limit and showed a spectacle performance.

Hey hey warriors!

Our last match against Andrew Hill ended in a loss, our players tried their best, they played hard and showed great sportsmanship on the courts. The overall scores were 1-14, though they lost, this will push our players to work harder during practice, and to motivate them to improve their craft.

Hey hey warriors! Our badminton unfortunately lost against Independence High with the overall score being 4-8. It was a tough match, although we didn't win, our players performance in their matches was great, and they showed great sportsmanship. 

Honorable mentions (Doubles): Nam Duong, and Vu Nguyen secured a win in an intense match, score being 21-19, and 21-16. Another duo that secured a win was Waston Dang, and Eric Nguyen, they showed great performance and consistency, their scores being 21-15 for both sets.

Honorable Mention (Singles): Lhean Madrigal made an intense comeback, making it a truly satisfying win, scores being 19-21, 21-18, and 21-16.

Another player who secured their match was Kyler Acebedo who crushed it in the first set, and ended with an intense overtime, scores being 21-9 and 26-24.

What's up warriors! Yesterday our badminton team had a tough match, where they sadly lost with the overall score being 2-13. Though we lost, our warrior played with everything they had, they showed great sportsmanship and showed growth, this loss will not hinder them but rather motivate them for their future matches.

Hey hey warriors! Our last match was against Piedmont Hills; we unfortunately lost 1-11. It was a tough match, our players not only did their best, but they also showed great sportsmanship, and we can't possibly ask for more from them. We hope that they can bounce back from this loss, in their next match against Leigh High School this Wednesday on March 25.         

Honorable mention are Nam Duong, and Vu Nguyen who won their match with the scores being 21-16 and 21-15.

What’s up, Warriors! Our team went against Silver Creek yesterday; we unfortunately lost in overall scores, with the total being 2-13, and while we did lose, this game will serve as a steppingstone for our players to improve in the future.

Some honorable mention in this match was Chau Nguyen and Amy Nguyen, they lost their first set but made an amazing comeback and won their match, scores being 15-21 1st set, 21-13 2nd set, and lastly 22-20.

Another duo was Nam Duong and Vu Nguyen, they won their match in an intense exchange against the other team, scores being 21-19, 18-21, and ended with 21-11.

We hope our team better luck next time in their next match against Piedmont High this Friday.

What's up, warriors!!

Our team had played against Leland with the overall score being 2-13. Though we lost in overall scores, Nam Duong and Vu Nguyen won their double with their scores being 21-9, 2-17. Waston Dang and Eric Nguyen also won their double with their scores being 21-11, and 21-8. Despite the loss our badminton team will take this as a step forward in improving. And we would like to wish our team good luck against Silver Creek in the next match.

Update: Our recent match against Milpitas High was canceled. Next game: March 11 vs. Evergreen Valley. Wishing our team success!

Join us at 6 P.M. in the gym as our team kicks off the season against Overfelt High. Let’s show our support and wish them luck!

Get ready! Badminton conditioning begins now. Bring your gear daily—athletic wear, shoes, racket, and water. Conditioning lasts three weeks before winter break tryouts on February 16 in the gym. Remember to submit your physicals within a week after practices to participate. ~ Dalton N 1/26/26
