Our Boys soccer team season has come to an end! For our Warriors this season is considered a success. Our Warriors started off the preseason on a rocky side with only getting one win out of 5 preseason games, as well as getting two ties and two losses in preseason. Once the season started our Warriors locked in getting a win streak until they faced Independence High which they tied to the both times they faced them. Our Warriors continued their winning streak and ended the league undefeated. This resulted in our Warriors qualifying to CCS for the first time in over 6 years. Unfortunately our Warriors didn’t get the result they wanted and got knocked out in the first round of CCS against Crystal High School. Our Warriors league record was 8-0-2 and our overall record of 10-3-4. Our Warriors are ranked #66 in the Central Coast Rankings. Which is very impressive. Our outstanding players this season were Christopher Mendez ( 5 goals, 3 assists), Rodney Lucio ( 2 goals, 4 assists), Andrew Zarco ( 2 goals, 0 assists), Bryan Ortega ( 6 goals, 3 assists), Juan Loaiza ( only 7 goals against), and our top scorer Jason Lauriano ( 15 goals, 3 assists). Let’s give a big shoutout to our Seniors: Christopher Mendez, Bryan Ortega, Jason Lauriano, Julio Perez, John Ding, Johnny Lauriano who we are very proud of and showed a lot of dedication to the team! With the Warriors placing 1st in league they will advance from West Valley (C league) to BVAL-North (B league). This is some exciting news for the Warriors since they’ve been in the West Valley League for two years now. Overall, this was a very exciting and unforgettable season for the Warriors. We hope the Warriors can repeat or do even better next season!
