Overview 2024

Overview Article

Hey hey Warriors, we are glad to have you back with a new school year. We would like to appreciate  the hard work and review how far the girls’ tennis team had made it last season. Last season, the team finished with a record of 3-7, landing in the bottom half of the league standings. While we didn't make it to CCS last year, the improvements and determination displayed on the court were truly inspiring. Though we’re unsure if we’ll be moving down to a different league this season, one thing is for certain, our Warriors are only getting stronger. While we may not have advanced last year, the groundwork is there, and the drive is real. We'll continue to support and cheer on our girls' tennis team as they keep striving for greatness. Thank you for your support last season, and we are looking forward to seeing you again this year, bye Warriors!

Post-Article YB @ Prospect

For one last time, Hey, Hey, Hey Warriors! Our YB girls tennis team just played their last game of the 2025 season. Unfortunately, we did not end off the season with a win, but here is the news. Tammy Lam and Sarah Bui lost (2-6, 0-6). Trea Li lost (3-6, 1-6). Lucia Huang and Jennifer Lam lost (1-6, 4-6). Karen Dam and Jennifer Duong lost (0-6, 1-6). Captain Nhu Vo lost (1-6, 0-6). Annie Huynh lost (0-6, 0-6). Despite this loss, our Warriors still had a great season as they showed tremendous hard work, dedication, and team work all season long. We are sure that this team will come back better than ever next season and make big improvements.

Post-Article YB @ Lincoln

How's it going Warriors? I some news to share. Our YB Girls Tennis Team sadly did not beat Lincoln High School unlike last time. Here are the scores. Captain Nhu Vo and Sarah Bui lost (1-6) but won (7-5) and (12-10) in an epic tie breaker. Trea Li tied (2-6, 2-6). Lucia Huang and Jennifer Lam won (6-1) lost (4-6) and won (10-8) in the tie breaker. Karen Dam and Jennifer Duong won (6-3, 6-2). Captain Nhu Vo lost (2-6, 1-6). Captain Annie Huynh lost (1-6, 4-6). This was a close game but the Lions edged out the victory and came out on top. We are confident they will look like a different team as they head into their very last game of the season and go Warriors!

Post-Article Pioneer @ YB

Welcome back Warriors! Sadly, our girls lost against Pioneer on their senior night. Here is what happened during the game. Evelyn Nop and Tammy Lam lost (1-6, 3-6) but they both had good teamwork and Tammy had some great volleys. Karen Dam and Jennifer Duong won (6-4) but lost (3-6, 6-10). Jennifer however had amazing volleys and good baseline shots. Lucia Huang and Jennifer Lam won (6-1, 7-6). Both Lucia and Jennifer did well in the back. Sequoia Redfield lost (6-7, 4-6) There was a tiebreaker in the first set. Captain Annie Huynh lost (3-6, 2-6) but hit the ball over the net well. Trea Li lost (2-6, 2-6) but had good consistency. Captain Nhu Vo lost (3-6, 4-6) but showed moments of good defense. Despite this loss, we still celebrated our seniors this night and we would like to let them know how much we appreciate everything they have done for the team as their final season comes to a close. There are two more games left in the season and we are confident this team will finish strong.

Post-Article Willow Glen @ YB

Hey, Hey, Hey Warriors! Sadly, we lost in the rematch against Willow Glen at home, but here are the highlights of the game. Captain Nhu Vo lost (2-6, 1-6) but sent a lot of balls down the line where her opponent could not get. Captain Annie Huynh lost (2-6, 2-6). Trea Li lost (1-6, 1-6) but had good reaction time. Sequoia Redfield lost (4-6) but won (6-1, 10-2) winning five consecutive rallies. Sarah Bui and Anh Nguyen lost (2-6, 0-6) but both had good rallies. Karen Dam and Lucia Huang lost (5-7, 1-6) but had good corrections. We are confident that our girls will use this as a learning lesson and will win their last games as their season comes to a close.

Post-Article Lincoln @ YB

Hey Warriors! We have great news to share. Our YB girls tennis team absolutely crushed it this Monday in their game against the Lincoln Lions. They got their first victory of the season in their first home game in spectacular fashion. Here are some of the highlights: Sequoia Redfield dominated with scores of 6-1 and 6-0 and had great rallies. The duo Jennifer Duong and Karen Dam showed off scoring 6-1 in both of their sets. Trea Li shined scoring 6-1 and in a competitive second game 7-6. Tammy Lam and Sarah Bui won with the scores of 6-2 and 6-4. Last but not least, Jennifer Lam and Lucia Huang cooked winning 6-1 and 6-3. Overall, this was a fantastic performance for our girls. We will continue with this momentum and keep the gas on the pedal as we face Pioneer this Thursday on the road. Thank you to all those that showed up to support the team!

Post-Game Article YB @ Willow Glen

After  long exhausting matches against Willow Glen, our girls did great out there

but unfortunately  they were up against tough opponents, JV and  Varsity did not

win this bout but they showed great determination in these matches.  Some of

the highlights includes Sarah and Tammy, they had great serves but lost both

sets with the scores being 4-6 and 1-6. Our captains didn't do  too bad either,

captain Annie showed grit even though she might have lost both her sets

with the scores being 0-6 and 2-6,  she did her best out there. Captain Nhu

also tried her best on the court, losing both the sets did not discourage her

but rather fuel her drive to better in the future games, her scores was 2-6 and 0-6.

We are looking forward to see our warriors improvements in their next matches,

we our girls the best of luck, go warriors!
