On March 20, 2025, our Yerba Buena Track and Field Team traveled to Mt. Pleasant High School for their SECOND meet of the season. Unfortunately, the Warriors claimed a loss on their journey, and will now move on and hope to bounce back against the Overfelt Royals on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Here is a quick recap on our Warriors’ last meet.
Our Warriors lost in a close meet with a narrow overall score. This is only the beginning, and there will be more challenges to come. Our Warriors haven't given up yet, the season is still long and our Warriors are still determined.
Though our Warriors lost, there were still notable factors from the meet. Congratulations to Thet Htwe and Erich Ly for getting first place in their short distance sprint. For our high jumpers, Nathan Tran did extremely well and shined the brightest - getting first place for the team. Finally, our powerful thrower Minh Le once again took first place in shot put, and was also able to throw far enough in discus, breaking his PR in both events.
We wish our Yerba Buena Warriors the best of luck on their next challenges. Don’t forget to come out and support your Warriors and cheer them on as they face off against the Overfelt Royals!!!
