We are excited to announce the first pre-season scrimmage will be on Tuesday, September 10th against Gunderson! The scrimmage will be held at your very own Yerba Buena High School! The game will begin at 5:00pm at the pool. Entry will be completely free so don't worry about any fees at the gate. Our expectations for this match are to send the Grizzlies home crying! We have faith in our girls to win the scrimmage however, it is important to note this is a friendly non-competitive match that is scheduled to let the girls practice and improve as well; It does not affect the league rankings so please come support our team and make sure to cheer on the players. Good luck ladies!

Hey Hey Warriors!!!
Today we will be discussing the YB’s water polo scrimmage against Gunderson. The teams played with grace, dignity and did surprisingly good. At half time the teams were evenly matched with everyone getting a chance to play. Our head captain, Crystal, did really well leading the girls in the second half of the game. Including a fast break attempt and getting fouled. The resulting power play saw Crystal and her offensive teammates score. Other notable scores was Jolan Vo who ended up being YB’s highest scorer of the match. In addition to being the highest scorer, she was also the most aggressive in the field. This wouldn't have been possible without our amazing head coach, Coach K. This was their first ever competitive game against another team, we are so proud of the girls that played with a positive mindset. Good job ladies!!!

On Thursday, September 19th Game, the girls did unexpectedly well againsit Gunderson. Although the score spoke otherwise (5-16), the warriors did good. We were proud of our top score: Jolan Vo with a score 2, Luna Castillo - 1, Kimberly Zepeda - 1 and our captain Crystal Cardenas - 1. Not only were we proud but so were the coaches due to the improvement and progress they had made. We hope to see more from our warriors against EHS so stay tuned for more updates! Hey Hey Warriors!!! Yesterday we played against Evergreen Valley High School, they are an A-league team and the boys managed to score 4 points on their defense despite being a C-league team. The final score for the boys was 4-22 with Damon Huynh yet again being the highest scorer with 3 points and Ethan Tran-Le with 1. Our boys did very well considering the difference in leagues. Good Job Players!!!
The girls scored 3 points against Evergreen with Crystal Cardenas being the top scorer getting 2 points and Evelyn Nguyen with 1 point! We managed to get through the opponents defense a few times which opened Crystal and Evelyn up for the opportunity to score. We had a few attempts made by Jolan Vo, Shalik Quezada, and multiple others. We were very proud of our girls for scoring on Evergreen due to them being in a higher league than us. Good Job Warriors!!! Stay Tuned for tomorrow's score which will be posted within 24 hours of the game!!!

The girls final score from last night was 5-21 although the girls didn't win their game they still tried their best and scored 5 points with the highest scorer being Shalik Quezada with 2 points, others who scored were Jolan Vo with 3 points Ryan Olivolo-Ha played the whole game as goalie and made some good blocks. We unfortunately were missing Crystal Cardenas due to an injury which prohibited her from being able to play. We hope to see her in the field and fully recovered when she is healed!
