Hey hey hey warriors, welcome back to another swim season with YBSN.org!! Last season our team was placed last in the B league Division although heading into BVALS, some of our boys were able to qualify and give it their all! As BVALS passed, we got notified that our swim team went from B League Divison to C league Dvision. This led to undoubtedly a turning point for our team which is exciting how the team has embraced the challenges of last season as fuel for progress.
With that being said we have spent the offseason reflecting, refining our techniques, and focusing on mental toughness. These difficulties also arrived when losing a strong senior class that left a noticeable gap, but it also gave the younger swimmers an opportunity to step up. So we would like to give a shout-out to last year’s swim captains Collete, Mandy, and Angel and we hope to continue on their great work. Our swimmers are setting personal goals that go beyond just times on the clock—they're aiming to grow as leaders, teammates, and athletes.
For upcoming dates, we have our swim information meeting on Wednesday, janaury 29th, 2025. You will get to know what to bring for the first day, our coaches, our new captain.

Hey Hey Hey Warriors! Tomorrow, March 25th, 2025, our warriors will be going against Overfelt. The meeting will be located at Overfelt High School at 4:00PM. We are so excited about this meeting against Overfelt because, at the beginning of the season, our meeting against them was rescheduled until now. Last week, we went against Live Oak, the Acorns, and our warriors are now on a 3-meet winning streak, and we hope to see this streak continue as we go into the season. Last year, Overfelt placed last in the C-division with 0 wins and 7 losses for boys, winning a total of 16 points at BVALS. For their girls, they got 1 win with 6 losses, winning a total of 13 points at BVAL. While Yerba Buena placed last in B-division with 0 wins and 7 losses, winning a total of 16 points at BVAL for girls. And for the boys, they placed 6th with 3 wins and 4 losses, winning by 11.5 points. This meeting against Overfelt will be like a walk in the park. We have faith in both our girls and boys that they will keep the winning streak going. They showed great improvements in their times, and it shows; we are so proud of our team for trying hard while swimming in their events and at practice. We wish our swimmers good luck, and we’re excited to see the outcome of the meet. -Anthony H.
Hey Warriors! Today is March 26th, 2025, yesterday our Warriors had a swim meet against Overfelt and as expected, Overfelt fell short due to a lack of skill and swimmers. We are now on a massive win streak of 4-0 and have big hopes for our next few meets. This meet, we had a lot of swimmers preform incredibly well once again. We had everyone moved around to try out new events. Big shoutout to Anthony Haws for his new PR in the 500 Free. Second shoutout to Evelyn Nguyen for her PR's with a 9 second PR in the 200 IM and a 5 second PR in the 100 Breaststroke making a big improvement in an area she's not the most familiar with and proving excellence in something she's proven time and time again she dominates at. In summation the Warriors dominate the show and prove that everyday they spend practicing they spent it. That all for today folks this is your favorite author for YBSN and we'll see you in the next one.
