Hey hey hey warriors, welcome back to another swim season with YBSN.org!! Last season our team was placed last in the B league Division although heading into BVALS, some of our boys were able to qualify and give it their all! As BVALS passed, we got notified that our swim team went from B League Divison to C league Dvision. This led to undoubtedly a turning point for our team which is exciting how the team has embraced the challenges of last season as fuel for progress.
With that being said we have spent the offseason reflecting, refining our techniques, and focusing on mental toughness. These difficulties also arrived when losing a strong senior class that left a noticeable gap, but it also gave the younger swimmers an opportunity to step up. So we would like to give a shout-out to last year’s swim captains Collete, Mandy, and Angel and we hope to continue on their great work. Our swimmers are setting personal goals that go beyond just times on the clock—they're aiming to grow as leaders, teammates, and athletes.
For upcoming dates, we have our swim information meeting on Wednesday, janaury 29th, 2025. You will get to know what to bring for the first day, our coaches, our new captain.

Hey Hey Hey Warriors! Swimming has finally come to an end. Last week, on Thursday-Saturday, May 1-3, 2025, our warriors had a BVAL and Finals. Thursday, May 1st, 2025, was BVAL's for boys and Friday, May 2nd was for the girls. Many of our swimmers made the top 16 and qualified for the finals, which were on Saturday. Although there were multiple DQs this year, we were still able to win the championship of the league for both boys and girls. The girls ended with 500+ points for the girls and 497 points for the boys. Even though we have won the league, we plan to stay in the C-league. Not only that, but some of the schools who placed last in finals will be moving down to the C-league. Honestly, it's hard to believe that this season has come to an end already; from having practice every day after school to having meets, BVALS, and Finals. But now, swimming and diving have ended. Throughout this season, our swimmers showed incredible growth, perseverance, and team spirit. Even though the practices were hard, it all paid off in the best way possible. The coaches and everyone around them are beyond proud of every single athlete who gave their all—whether that was breaking personal records, cheering on teammates, or pushing through tough sets when it mattered most. As we close out this season, let’s not forget the memories we’ve made and the lessons we’ve learned. To our seniors, Ryan H, Katelynn O, Mantej G, Phoung L, Priscilla, Aiden R, Aaron N, Drake L, Andy T, and lastly Drew M, who are leaving, thank you for showing your commitment and determination. Your hard work has been truly inspiring, and we will miss you! You've set a strong example for the next generation of swimmers, and we wish you the best in college or careers. A huge thank you as well to our incredible coaches, Coach Nguyen, Coach Love, Coach K, and Coach Rodriguez. Their guidance and constant support have been crucial in shaping this season. They believed in us, pushed us beyond our limits, and made sure we were always improving for the better. We can’t express how much we appreciate their dedication. And another thank you to the moms who showed up and supported us every meeting and brought food. We all appreciate their efforts in showing up. It’s been an amazing season; the memories we’ve made and the lessons we’ve learned will last a lifetime. Let’s carry the spirit of this season into whatever comes next, knowing that we’ve given it our all. This is YBSN signing off. Good luck next season warriors!
