2025 SEASON OVERVIEW
Hey! Hey! Warriors! With the end of water polo last year it was quite the season for both teams people made friends and rivals. Thank you to the people who played this season and the people who came to games to support.
Last year the girls team placed 6th with a score of 1-10 winning over Evergreen.
As for the boys they placed 5th place with a score of 4-8 winning over Gunderson and Mt. Pleasant. This season, both of our boys and girls team will remain in West Valley (C-League).
Many new players came out and tried out. As the season went by our players were showing lots of improvements. It was a tough season but our team was able to manage it with their efforts. The water polo team were very proud of their players with big expectations of taking on the other contenders in the league.

Meet the Shalik Quezada #3 !
Experience : 4 Years
Favorite waterpolo memory : When it was senior night and we won against mount pleasant
THANK YOU Shalik Quezada!! You have done so much for us as a captain. Being a captain for 3 years is no joke.
She worked hard for the girls' team and led us with the best version of herself to help us become our best versions. She is very hard-working and dedicated to this sport since day one. She is one of the seniors who played for 4 years!!! Good luck in the future, Shalik; lead everyone with your amazing leadership!!!
Meet the senior, Jolan Vo #11!
Experience: 4 years
Favorite WP memory: scoring 7 goals during senior night 2024 to secure the win #missallmyseniors and playing alongside my best friend

She is one of two seniors who have been here all 4 years! That is very amazing. She started by playing with a boys' team and then started a girls' team. She helps us so much in games, and we don't know what to do without her. Her dedication goes a long way for this sport! Good luck in the future, Jolan; never give up!

Meet the senior, Kimberly Zepeda #12!
Experience: 3 years
Favorite WP memory: her first goal ever
Thank you, Kimberly Zepeda, for everything she has contributed to this team. Despite not joining for a year, she bounced back like CRAZYYY. She is the best defensive player, I dare to say. She is always there and readyyyy to fight in the hole. She's never scared! Good luck in the future, Kimberly!
Meet the senior, Evelyn Nguyen #4!

Favorite WP memory: when I almost got into a fight my sophomore year with #19 from Silver Creek
22 Thank you, Evelyn Nguyen, for everything she has done for this team! Evelyn was one of the few who started off as a swimmer ( swam club at MAC •) then joined our water polo team to allow our school to have a girls' team, so evelyn will forever mean so much to us

Meet the senior, Brenda Montes Marroquin #10!
Experience: 3 years
• Favorite WP memory: When I first started waterpolo my first year, I was actually really nervous and shy to meet some of the girls who I'd never spoken to before. Up until one day we were changing out after practice, and a HUGE spider was in my towel and started screaming for help.
The girls were all laughing, and we were all trying to figure it out together while I was stuck in the stall, still trying to change. Ever since that moment, we became closer than ever, and I'll forever remember that's how our team first got close (also came to find out I was also related to one of my teammates 4. Thank you, Brenda Montes Marroquin, for everything she has done for this team. Brenda was one of many girls who allowed this school to continue the girls' water polo program & good luck in the future, Brenda; never stop being you!
Meet the senior, Grecia Mariani #6/1A!
Experience: 1 year
Favorite WP memory: My favorite memory from water polo is my first game. I will never forget how anxious and excited I was, but I had so much fun. My team did an awesome job, and my coaches helped me feel more comfortable and confident because it was my FIRST time playing EVER. It was a really special experience that I will always remember.
22 Round of applause for Greciaa!!! We are super grateful for her joining this year despite her never playing this sport! Without her, we might not have even had a girls' team, so her hard work is much appreciated

Thank you, Aiden Zapanta, for all of his hard work and dedication to this team. He swims for the YB team here and decided to come play WP for his last yearrr!! We are grateful that he gave this sport a chance and continued it! Good luck in the future, Aiden!!!

Favorite WP memory: When I almost drowned the first time I went to the deep end
Let's give it up for Aldair!!! Thank you for his hard work and dedication to this team. Even though he almost drowned, we hope he enjoyed this season very much, and it meant a lot to him to join! Good luck in the future, Aldair; make the most of everything!!!!
