Dominic Nguyen gained a victory in the 167-183 weight class, defeating his opponent with a 6-2 fall at 2:16. His persistence was crucial in securing the win, making him a standout performer for the team.
Roberto Rangel followed with a superior performance in the 233-274 weight class, claiming a 3-0 in just 45 seconds. His quick victory demonstrated power, setting a high standard for his teammates.

Pre- Article: Hey Warriors! This week's Thursday, our wrestling team will be having an away game located at Pioneer HS' gym at 6:30 PM. Last season, the Pioneer HS' wrestling team was placed 3rd in the East Santa Teresa with a total league record of 3-2. As for Yerba Buena, our warriors were placed 1st in the West Valley with a total league record of 5-0.
With such a strong performance last season, the drastic gap gives our Warriors the upper hand for the game tonight in dominating the mats with their absolute strengths once again! We're looking forward to seeing how the game between these two schools will play out. Let's show up and support our team!

Post Article: Hey Warriors, in our last away game against Pioneer, Yerba Buena unfortunately lost with a final of 30 - 52. We're still proud of each and every one of our Warriors who came out to the mats and tried their best with all their might to dominate the Mustangs in this game. After this match, we are on our way to Senior Night!
This loss should be taken as a motivation for the team to put their best sportsmanship and practice their skills to the upcoming game next week which is Senior Night, it will be the last home game of the season and for our senior players. Ceremonies will be held to acknowledge them. We're looking forward to that game!

Pre- Article: The BVAL Wrestling Tournament is set to take place at Gilroy High School, bringing together some of the top high school wrestlers in the league. Athletes from various schools will compete for individual and team titles, with hopes of qualifying for higher level competitions.
This tournament is a key event in the wrestling season, as it determines which wrestlers will move on to the CCS Championships. Competitors will showcase their skills in intense matches, with each bout testing their strength, endurance, and technique.

Pre- Article: This past Friday and Saturday, our Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity wrestling teams competed for a chance to qualify for CCS, and they did an amazing job! We’re excited to announce the wrestlers heading to the CCS tournament.
For the Girls Varsity team, congratulations to Natalie Vu, Ivy Nguyen, Thalia Nguyen, Tiffany Duong, Tara Kanshiro, Cindy Bui, Sayra Garcia, and Chantelle Roberts for qualifying. For the Boys Varsity team, great job to Richard Doan, Joseph Lai, and Vince Vu for earning their spots.
These wrestlers have worked hard. Let’s wish them the best of luck in the upcoming CCS competition at Watsonville High School at 9:00am.
